Is RF microneedling right for me?

RF microneedling can prove ideal for patients across a range of age groups and with any skin tone. It works best for patients who have moderate to significant cosmetic concerns across their body. We will consult with each patient thoroughly to ensure that Morpheus8 is the safest and most effective option for their needs.

How long does the treatment take?

A typical RF microneedling session takes between 15 and 60 minutes, causing little interruption to your day. The duration will depend on the location and number of treatment areas.

When will I see the results?

Most patients begin noticing initial results within a few days of the RF microneedling treatment. But remember, collagen production is a gradual process. That means your results will continue to improve in the coming weeks. They will eventually peak at about 3 to 6 months after your last session.

Depending on your situation, you may need a series of treatments to see your target results. On average, patients benefit most from a series of 3 sessions, each spaced out 4 to 6 weeks apart. In general, patients will need between 1 and 6 sessions to reach their goals.

How long do RF microneedling results last?

Patients see their Morpheus8 benefits for about 12 to 18 months on average. Your results will depend on factors such as age, genetics, and lifestyle. For example, excess sun exposure will generally shorten your results. On the other hand, a great skin care regimen can prove supportive of longer-lasting results. When your results begin to fade, you can come in for a quick maintenance treatment.

Is there any recovery period?

RF microneedling generally involves only a mild and brief recovery period. While you are not required to take downtime, many patients prefer to take a day or two off from work or social engagements as the initial redness and swelling fade. You will also want to keep the treated area out of direct sunlight, and avoid using any abrasive or potentially irritating skin products until healed.

Some skin flaking is normal, and let it flake off at its own pace rather than peeling it. This is all part of the process of skin turnover, which will eventually lead to a fresh, healthier layer of skin. The main recovery period is about 3 to 10 days, depending on the depth of treatment and the body area’s skin turnover rate.

Is RF microneedling safe?
