What Is a Non-Surgical Neck Lift?

The neck is particularly susceptible to some of the changes that come with age. As the skin loses collagen and becomes thinner, it can start to hang, wrinkle, and bunch on the neck. Even from an early age, many patients begin to see these changes. A non-surgical neck lift aims to restore the quality of the skin around the neck, tightening and restoring a firmer, more youthful texture to it. Our goal with each neck tightening treatment is to restore a sense of comfort and confidence in one’s own body.

Non-Surgical Neck Tightening Treatment Options

Where a traditional neck lift uses incisions and invasive techniques, our approach relies on minimally invasive alternatives. Each of our neck tightening options works with the body’s natural mechanisms, resulting in gentler treatment while still producing excellent outcomes.

Microneedling

This method uses a special device to create hundreds to thousands of micro punctures on the treated skin. These punctures are small enough to activate the body’s regenerative response while not causing lasting damage. Your body responds by increasing collagen production, which naturally tightens and smooths out the skin.

Smooth Threads

Smooth threads are made from polydioxanone (PDO), a complex sugar that is absorbable and highly safe. Your injector places these threads below the skin, causing the body to naturally respond by adding structural proteins to the area. These proteins include collagen, elastin, and fibrin—all vital for tighter, healthier-looking skin.

Exosomes

Exosomes occur naturally in the body and play a major role in cell communication. Through the professional application of exosomes, we can increase the efficiency of cell communication, which in turn boosts their overall functionality. This treatment can be excellent on its own but is often best utilized when combined with other treatments for complementary results.

Is a Non-Surgical Neck Lift Right for Me?

Non-surgical treatments are typically open to a wider range of potential patients than invasive options. This is because they place minimal strain on the body. Additionally, they only require mild local numbing rather than general anesthesia, which comes with a number of risks. So if you are looking for a gentler, more patient-centric approach to cosmetic rejuvenation, then non-surgical neck tightening may be right for you. This option is best for patients who have mild to moderate wrinkles, banding, or looseness around the neck.

Additionally, we work closely with each patient to match them with a treatment plan ideal for their situation. Your personalized plan may consist of one or more treatments designed to work with your specified goals.

Is There a Recovery Period?

Non-invasive procedures come with little to no recovery time required. There are no incisions that need to close and no damage to tissues that need to heal. While microneedling does create punctures, they are small enough that they do not interfere with your daily routine. At most, patients can expect some redness, minor swelling, and mild flaking as the skin responds to the treatment. While there is no real downtime, we do recommend that patients take care of their skin for the week or two following treatment. Avoid excess sunlight and any products that might contain abrasive ingredients or anything that can irritate your treatment areas.

Non-Surgical Neck Lift Results

Neck tightening results should begin to be noticeable anywhere from several days to within a couple of weeks of your treatment session. As your body responds to your treatment, you should begin noticing gradual improvements. While these may start small, they continue to improve in the weeks following treatment as new collagen is formed, which tightens the skin naturally. Additionally, patients may require a series of treatments to see optimal results. Most patients will need between 2 and 5 sessions to see their final results. These results can last for months to more than a year, depending on individual factors. However, if results begin to fade, quick touchup treatments are often enough to keep your neck looking rejuvenated.
